So that persons with disabilities can live independently, and in order to ensure their autonomy and full participation in all the aspects of life, the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities points out that States Parties need to ensure the right to Accessibility.

This includes transport accessibility; therefore, it suggests that some measures need to be taken to balance opportunities and to allow persons with disabilities may access, move and stay on transportation means both in rural and urban zones, just like the rest of the people.

Specifically, Article 9 addressing Accessibility proposes that these measures must include the identification and removal of access obstacles and barriers.

At Fundación Comparlante, we can advise your organization or company to ensure this right of all the people.
