We are honored to share thar the United Nations has recognized our organization by granting us the special consultative status. A key milestone to actively advance our mission to construct an accessible world and with equal opportunities for everyone.
What does this mean for our region? As of, Fundación Comparlante has the right to assign official representatives in the United Nations Headquarters in New York and in the Office at Vienna and Geneva, to participate in international conferences and work sessions, to organize simultaneous events, to present oral statements, among other responsibilities to support the work of UN bodies such as the Economic and Social Council.
Now more than ever, we strengthen our commitment to be a bridge for the diverse voices of persons with disabilities, their families, the accessibility professionals, youth leaders and other members of the civil society in all Latin America to make the difference together.
